Amy Weintraub, MHC-LP, she/her

Therapy is a space to be seen and heard, to explore who you are, how you got here, and where you want to go. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready for change, our work together can help you make meaning of your experiences and move toward a life that feels more connected, empowered, and aligned with your values.

I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, OCD, social and performance anxiety, panic, and phobias. My approach is integrative and personalized, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and feminist and multicultural frameworks. I strive to help clients understand themselves more deeply while building practical tools for meaningful change.

My therapeutic style is collaborative and warm. I listen closely for strengths while also helping you make space for growth. I want you to feel safe enough to take risks in our work and empowered to live more authentically in the world.

Before becoming a therapist, I trained and worked as a professional performer in New York City. I hold a BM in Vocal Performance and a BA in Theater from Oberlin College and Conservatory, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, where I focused my research on performance anxiety for performing artists.

I have a special passion for supporting creatives and those navigating the unique pressures of performance and self-expression. I also work with LGBTQ+ clients and those with intersectional identities, honoring the complexity and nuance that come with experiences of marginalization, resilience, and self-discovery.

My hope is that therapy with me feels like a partnership, grounded in curiosity, trust, and a belief in your capacity for growth. No matter where you're starting from, you're welcome here with me.
