PLAY WITH MY HAIR, NOT WITH MY HEART

Relationships can be playgrounds for transformation and personal growth.  They support you in cultivating joy, abundance and overall vitality. Humankind is intended to live in relationship to others, in any of its forms.

We help individuals who crave close relationships but find them difficult to come by. We can help you to break from repetitive cycles that interfere with you being in the relationship you want. Topics commonly addressed include navigating dating, coping after a breakup, addressing sexual concerns, and understanding fears around rejection, abandonment, commitment or intimacy.

YOU ALWAYS KNOW JUST WHAT TO SAY (TO DRIVE ME CRAZY)

In spite of loving each other, all couples can get caught in unhealthy patterns of relating where it is hard to express feelings or repair disconnection. You may find yourselves having the same argument over and over again or refusing to discuss certain subjects to avoid a fight. You may feel betrayed or disappointed by your partner and not know how to rekindle affections.

Our counselors help couples understand the underlying patterns that cause the distress and assist you in learning healthier ways to relate to one another.

 We can support you to:

  • Learn about your relationship patterns and attachment style
  • Get unstuck and find effective ways to communicate your needs
  • De-escalate conflict and stop the negative cycle of repetitive arguing
  • Repair disconnection when a partner feels abandoned or rejected
  • Address sexual concerns and experience deeper levels of intimacy
  • Learn how to manage major life transitions (birth, loss, illness)
  • Recover from affairs, infidelity or addiction relapse

Our counselors are passionate about supporting the relationships of all people, including those who identify as part of LGBT, non-monogamous, polyamorous, or kink communities as well as those with histories of compulsive sexual behaviors, sexual trauma, and those living with HIV/AIDS. We aim to provide an empathic and empowering space, free from stigmatization.

Whether your relationship has just hit a bumpy spot or is in serious crisis, we can help you find your way through this challenge and work together to create a lasting, loving connection.
