LEIGH WARE, she/her

You have the ability to create important, long-lasting change in your life.  Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, romantic relationships, sexuality, family challenges, or life transitions, I look forward to partnering with you in this process.  The therapeutic relationship is a partnership.  To be effective, it is essential we develop a strong, trusting, and safe collaboration.  To this end, I am committed to providing treatment that honors your unique needs, values and lived experience.

I have facilitated over a thousand individuals through peer support groups, where I supported people to process their emotions about topics including marriage, breakups, grief, burnout, sexual trauma, and sexual exploration. I have specialized training on working with sexuality and relationships, navigating attachment styles, as well as trauma-informed practices. I have studied embodied mindfulness practices and have trained as a breathwork facilitator.  My background also includes work combatting sexual violence as a trained Rape Prevention Educator.  I work with individuals in all forms of relationship, including non-monogamy, and am kink- and sex-positive.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, where I am worked on research focusing on financial instability.  I received my BA with honors from Vanderbilt University.

After working at technology companies and startups for close to a decade, I enjoy working with professionals employed in demanding, high-stress environments, as well as self-employed individuals. Guided by my sense of compassion and authenticity I support my clients to break through old patterns and regain a sense of clarity, direction, and personal empowerment.
