Genevieve Williams, Associate Therapist, she/her
Life doesn’t come with a map, especially when it comes to the terrain of our inner world and relationships. We live in a world full of beautiful contradictions: connection is essential, and often deeply complex. In the messiness of being human lies the potential for deep clarity and authentic connection.
My path to becoming a psychotherapist began in the world of nursing, where I spent a decade witnessing the profound ways our bodies hold stress, memory, and resilience. That experience, combined with my clinical training in Psychological Counseling at Columbia University, grounds the holistic approach I bring to therapy today. I integrate somatic approaches, mindfulness, and the science of neuroplasticity: the brain’s capacity to rewire itself and support not only how you feel, but how you live in your body.
My style is warm, active, and deeply attuned. I see therapy as a conversation rooted in curiosity, compassion, and mutual insight. You know your life better than anyone. My role is to help you listen more closely to yourself, ask new questions, and make room for the changes that want to unfold.
I work with individuals and couples navigating the often invisible tensions of daily life: communication breakdowns, unequal domestic labor, burnout, shifting identities, and the emotional complexities surrounding reproductive health. I’m especially interested in the quiet ways societal narratives shape our inner worlds, and in the powerful, gentle work of untangling those scripts so you can write your own.
Outside the therapy room, I love exploring new places, hiking trails, taking photographs, and picking up new hobbies, most of which keep me laughing and learning. These small adventures remind me that growth is never linear, joy is essential, and we’re all just doing our best as we go.
