GROUNDED

Flying is supposed to mean freedom: exploring new places, visiting family, saying yes to opportunity. But for many people, getting on a plane feels like just the opposite. Your heart might start racing as soon as you book a ticket. You might find yourself tossing and turning the night before a flight or even avoid flying altogether. This anxiety can make your world very small.  We can help you reclaim the freedom to get where you want to go.

Fear of flying often isn’t just about planes. For some, it’s about feeling trapped, out of control, or far from safety. For others, it’s linked to past panic attacks, turbulence that shook them, or just the thought of being 30,000 feet in the air. These fears can build over time, even for people who used to fly easily.

At Real Talk Therapy, we can help you address the thoughts, sensations, and patterns that keep you stuck. Through practical tools and evidence-based strategies, you will learn to get out of anxious spirals and build confidence step by step.

FLIGHT PLAN: FROM PANIC TO PRESENCE
Our therapists tailor sessions to your needs.  We draw from:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to identify and challenge anxious or catastrophic thoughts.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) – to build confidence and resiliency in doing hard things.
Somatic and grounding techniques – to calm physical panic responses and reconnect with your sense of control.
Trauma-informed work (when relevant) – to process any past experiences that may have reinforced the fear.

CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF
Our goal isn’t to convince you to love airports or middle seats: it’s to help you travel, visit family, take that job, or say yes to experiences without fear holding you back.

We’ve helped people who once avoided planes for years travel comfortably and even confidently.  Whether your fear of flying feels mild or overwhelming, we’ll meet you where you are with compassion, care, and real tools that work.
