HEART’S COMPANION

Pet Loss Sub Image.jpeg

Many of us have had a pet that charmed their way into our hearts. Their trusting presence and gentle affection help to build an emotional bond that can be as strong and nurturing as any other. Pets help us learn to become more generous, compassionate, open and responsible.

When a pet dies, it is natural to grieve with a heavy heart. Well-intentioned people do not always understand the intensity of grief we feel when a pet dies. This can lead some people to isolate themselves for fear of being judged. There is no need to feel guilty or ashamed about grieving for an animal.

Grieving is a personal and highly individual experience – it can’t be forced or hurried. While no one can take away your grief, counseling can ensure that you don’t mourn alone, and provide you with the support you need on this journey to heal your heart.
